FREEZE-DRIED INGREDIENTS

Carnivore’s custom-engineered 48-hour freeze-drying process locks in moisture and freshness to ensure the raw meat retains its active nutritional elements. All products are processed in their frozen state from arrival. Raw meat is flash-frozen to lock in freshness and then subjected to temperatures below freezing, allowing it to be safely and conveniently stored without refrigeration.

Our freeze-drying process —locks in vitamins and nutrients without cooking or intense processing. Crumble and rehydrate for a complete and balanced meal, or sprinkle in with your dog’s regular food.

THE POWER OF FREEZE-DRYING

Carnivore Meat Company’s custom-engineered and constructed freeze-dryers remove water from a product and lock in vital nutrients without cooking the raw food. Traditional dehydration uses high-velocity heat to remove moisture, reducing the product’s original nutritional content and structure.

CARNIVORE MEAT COMPANY USES AN EXCLUSIVE, 48-HOUR, SLOW FREEZE-DRYING PROCESS:

Step 1: Raw food and treats are flash frozen to lock in freshness

Step 2: The food enters a freeze-dryer where extreme cold and vacuum pressure is applied

Step 3: Water, in the form of ice crystals, is transformed within a millisecond by “flashing” from a solid into a gas, skipping the liquid stage

Step 4: The gas is then attracted to freezer plates that are -60° F

Step 5: Upon contact, the gas flashes back into ice and gathers on the plate

Step 6: The process repeats for 44-48 hours until all the ice crystals have transformed into a gas

Step 7: The freeze-dryer is then cleaned and prepared for the next batch of product
